When we make Him our All in all, for He truly deserves no “lesser” place but sovereign leading of our mind, soul, strength, emotions and will.

This is the promise of God - to “seek first His kingdom and His righteousness and all other things shall be added unto you”- Matthew 6:33.

The emptiness in every human soul is filled by Lord Jesus Christ alone. He alone is the life-giving Spirit.

Seeking the above without placing faith in the only begotten Son of God and our Savior Lord Jesus Christ and believing in what He has personally done for each of us so that we may belong to Him, is like trying to look for fruits like for example apples, from a plant of cactus. It is like trying to quench our thirst with all other beverages but pure water, the living water of life that Lord Jesus Christ is willing to freely give to all those who choose to believe in Him. (John 7:38-40).

Our quests are actually the fruits of the Holy Spirit (Galatians 5:22-26). The Holy Spirit, being the eternal seed. Just how the seed once sown in the fertile soil and well nourished does not toil to produce fruits in its perfect time. The seed produces fruits effortlessly as the Lord causes the growth.

Same way, all our “quests” are realised as the fruits of the Spirit and revelation of God as we choose to abide in Him with trust and obedience.

On a macro perspective, as we place our faith in Christ, we are “grafted” as a branch in the True Vine (Lord Jesus Christ Himself) to be spiritually fruitful as we continue to stay rooted and abide in Him. (John 15:1-5).

All good things are from above, meant to be humbly received and preserved. None that He gives can be created through our practices or deeds. They are just dead works to the Lord. (James 1:17).

Simply putting it this way: Know Jesus, know Life. No Jesus, no life (1 John 5:12). “Religion” as the world calls it, is not an external expression of our vain acts that seem relatively righteous in our own eyes, producing in us some “temporary” results that don't last. But the purpose is to reconcile to the unchangeable, living and faithful Lord (rather allow Him to reconcile us to Himself), know Him personally, belong to Him, enjoy His peace and delve daily deeply into more and more of Him for our growth and sanctification.
